The torch is half way to Beijing; this month we find it traveling through Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

Though the country is well known for the Petronas Twin Towers, beautiful beaches, mountains and rainforest jungles, Malaysia’s people are known for their charm, exceptional friendliness and their laughter.
Laughter—what a wonderful sound. There is nothing that pleases me more than to hear the gleeful giggles of an infant, the hysterics of pre-teens and teenagers, or the chortles and snorts from a group adults—simply enjoying each other’s company.
Laughter is good for your heart—it may even provide protection against heart attacks! It boosts your immune system, is a stress reliever, and is proven to increase your sense of hope.
There are children in the United States who need the benefit of laughter. With parents deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, these kids are not only separated from their parents by distance, but they fear daily for their parent’s safety.
You have the opportunity to provide these children with a chance to laugh and increase their sense of hope. Military Kids GrandCamp was designed especially for military kids and one set of their grandparents to experience the strong bond and joy of family.
