Prayer Suggestions for Grandparents

The prayer of a righteous man (grandparent) is powerful and effective.  James 5:16b

Open Eyes

by Lillian Penner, CGN National Prayer Coordinator

When we pray according to God’s Word, we are in line with His will. It enables us to pray with power, direction, and wisdom.

The prayer suggestion for this week is that our grandchildren will have open eyes to see Jesus.

“O Lord, open his (her) eyes so he (she) may see.”
II Kings 6:17

Heavenly Father, I pray You will open the eyes of _______________ to:

  • see your provisions for every circumstance he/she encounters (II Kings 6:17),

  • open his/her eyes to see the wonderful truths in your Word (Psalm 119:18)

  • recognize that Jesus is alive and available to them. (Luke 24:31)

For the younger children: Pray they will develop a sense of obedience to their parents.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord.
Ephesians 6:1
