The prayer of a righteous man (grandparent) is powerful and effective.  James 5:16b

Christmas

by Lillian Penner, CGN National Prayer Coordinator

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children (and grandchildren) are walking in the truth. 3 John 4

Christmas is a time of giving. Grandparents love to see those happy faces when their grandchildren open their gifts. Have you completed your Christmas shopping for your grandchildren’s gifts?

I am sharing a few suggestions of how you can give gifts from the word CHRISTMAS in your prayers. As grandparents, we have no greater joy than to know our children and grandchildren are walking with the Lord. Pray deliberately for them to walk in the truth.

C - Cast all their anxiety on God because He cares for them. I Peter 5:7

H – Humble themselves before the Lord. James 4:10

R – Renew their minds. Romans 12:2

I – Be imitators of God. Ephesians 5:1

S – Seek first God’s kingdom. Matthew 6:33

T – Trust in the Lord with all their hearts. Proverbs 3:5, 6

M – Meditate on God’s word. Psalms 1:2

A – Abound in their love for God and His Word. Ephesians 1:9

S - Stand firm in their faith. I Peter 5:6
